hey yeah i found you on art jumble. I've never posted on there, but i do follow it. Not much luck, got an unpaid internship at egenesis a very small gaming company. I'm hoping I will get hired on soon though since they have started talking about hiring some people. You can check out the game I've been doing most of my work for at http://atitd.com/ The fan base is very dedicated and they found my blog within a day of my first post about it, lol. What was your focus at school? Mine was mostly animation and 3d art, if you couldn't tell lol.
Sorry it took me a few days to respond. I've been working 6 days a week at my part-time job and then 2-3 days at my internship (which = 16~ish hour days), while trying to have a real life in there somewhere.... I'm ready for a really long nap.
If I had more time i would definitely be trying to get freelance work. I'm hoping my busy schedule will be over, for a while at least, starting in April, so maybe i'll be able to check out some of those sites. I'd love it if you don't mind passing them along. I also have lots of artist friends looking for work, too.
Unfortunately for you (but maybe not for me) its not free to play. You can try it for free tho.
It took me 6 months to find an unpaid internship, after i graduated. its tough out there. no one wants to spend the money to train anyone new. Actually it took me almost 3 months to find a new part-time job after I moved out of the city, HAHA, that was not fun. I was starting to get really paranoid and started having anxiety problems, because I've never had any trouble finding a job before. ugh...
but its great to connect with other artists! we're all in the same boat...
