A Robot and His Tux

Robot Children's Book

Starting a new children's book about a robot who works as a waiter and dreams of being an actor. This is a look at the character design process. Sometimes the design will be nailed in the first try, other times it will take a while. The bottom right is the one that will be used. As of now, it's unnamed. Two names already came and went and another is being brainstormed.

Lady of the Mushrooms - Sketches

I’ve been experimenting with a style that’s not my usual lately, and here are some sketches from part of a larger upcoming piece called “Lady of the Mushrooms.” It's inspired by my girlfriend, her love of eating mushrooms, and pinup art.

Three in a Box

For any friends or family who may have taken an interest in my work at some point, I have a very special announcement. As of today, I'm officially being represented by the Three in a Box Illustration Agency.

I've wanted to find an agent for some time now, and thanks to a very kind and helpful contact in the industry, I was pointed in the direction of the wonderful people at Three in a Box. Upon discovering this agency, I was immediately drawn to how diverse their artists' work is, which is a rare thing in agencies. So even though I'm essentially the rookie, I still feel as if I'm bringing something to the table because each artist is so stylistically different.

What I'm particularly excited about is the fact that I'll have someone on my team for once, who wants me to stay busy as much as I want me to stay busy. I also won't have to worry about negotiating fees and contracts because they handle that. I'll be able to focus more on the process of creating art.
They also have connections to some very impressive clients that every artist dreams of. They've worked with such esteemed companies as Walt Disney Studios, Marvel Comics, Forbes, Google, Harper Collins, Penguin Books, The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, and many more. I'm very curious to see where I might fit in as time goes on, as well as hopeful.

To those who have shown your support over the years, thank you (every "like" counts!), and hopefully you can expect to see more of my stuff out in the world soon enough.

My Mother is a Witch! - Cover

I recently finished illustrating this cover. "My Mother is a Witch!" is a children's book about a child who's convinced that his mother is a witch because she wears striped socks and unknowingly does other witch-like things.

More to come soon!

Book Review

"Bigfoot's Small Feet" was recently reviewed by Read to My Heart's Content. It contains testimonials from actual kids, which I thought was awesome. It's always great to hear what they have to say!
